HRM-RI Membership and SHRM Membership

HRM-RI is a local chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). At this time, it is not necesssary for an individual to be a member of SHRM in order to join HRM-RI; however, SHRM membership is strongly recommended for HRM-RI members due to the many benefits and information resources provided by SHRM.

Please note that the membership application process and dues payment for SHRM membership is separate from the application process and dues payment for HRM-RI. Becoming a member of SHRM does not automatically make someone a member of HRM-RI, and the reverse is also true: becoming a member of HRM-RI does not automatically make someone a member of SHRM.

Special Offer for HRM-RI Members Who Are "In Transition"

At the May 6, 2009 meeting of the HRM-RI Board of Directors, a decision was made to implement a new policy which will assist "in transition" members to maintain their HRM-RI membership.

If you were an active paid member in 2008 and have not renewed your membership in 2009 because you are in transition, please contact us so that your member-ship may be extended and your dues waived for 2009.

If you have already paid your membership dues for 2009, but you are in intransition as of December 2009, your membership may be extended and your dues waived for 2010.
