Job Description: 

As an HR Generalist you will be responsible for providing support in administering human resources policies and programs covering a broad range of HR issues which may include recruiting, employee relations, training and development, performance management, compensation, benefits, diversity initiatives, policy development and interpretation, HRIS reporting and payroll backup. Representative list of duties and responsibilities: • Serve as the primary contact and resource for employees and managers regarding HR issues, questions and concerns. • Work closely with and coach managers and employees in all areas of employee relations with an eye toward improving work relationships, building morale and increasing productivity. • Assist in on-boarding new employees and conduct new hire orientation. • Plan and coordinate employee engagement initiatives and activities. • Conduct and analyze exit interviews; document the results of those interviews. • Resolve employee relation issues; conduct employee investigations as necessary. • Support recruitment efforts – obtain updated job descriptions and salary ranges, source and screen applicants, schedule and interview as necessary, evaluate candidates with hiring manager. • Facilitate and/or coordinate employee training as required. • Assist with performance management and employee development. • Understand Company benefit programs and work with the Benefits group as needed. • Assist the HR and management teams in the development, implementation and interpretation of policies, procedures and programs. • Maintain HR records and generate reports as needed. • Participate in HR and cross-functional team projects. • Maintain strong knowledge of legal requirements related to Human Resources. • Make recommendations to improve current processes and procedures. • Provide back-up support for payroll.

Experience/Competencies Required: 

Broad-based generalist skills and experience in functional human resources. Excellent interpersonal skills and the desire to provide a high level of customer service. Strong communications skills: oral, written and listening. Pro-active, solutions-oriented – identify problems, seek resources for guidance, analyze options, communicate and/or implement resolutions. Ability to work effectively and efficiently with multiple, conflicting priorities. Good organizational skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization. Ability to maintain confidentiality is critical.

Education Required: 

3 – 5 years experience in Human Resources and a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. An advanced degree and/or human resources certification is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, familiar with ADP and HRIS.
