Job Description:
|
Assist the Senior HR Operations Coordinator in managing the process throughout the planning and development lifecycle.
Assist in determining and documenting definition, requirements use case, recommended business solution, execution and reporting.
Must have ability to design, modify and program in Microsoft Access databases using SQL and VBA to analyze and integrate Human Resources (HR) data from multiple non integrated sources.
Must have the ability to complete data analysis in Excel, and end to end problem solving abilities are critical.
Will work company's Shared Services department assisting in the management, tracking and execution of several corporate strategic initiatives.
The Senior Data Analyst will assist in the design, implementation and maintenance of database structures/front end applications in a 2nd tier HRIS environment (Access, SQL,VBA, Excel). The data analysis involves designing/modifying complex reports, forms and queries in Access. Current data analysis processing occurs in Microsoft Access applications linked to server based databases, such as Oracle. The processing also involves using advanced Excel functions (vlookup, pivot tables, macros, etc.)
Designs, implements and maintains complex databases, access methods, validation checks, organization, protection and security, and documentation to ensure client requirements are satisfied.
Reviews and edits data requirements and documents according to required standards to ensure that design and implementation are according to company specifications.
Applies data analysis or data modeling techniques to increase efficiencies of structures and components
Investigates and resolves technical matters of significance
Communicates with clients about data related discrepancies
Assists in data related reporting development and delivery.

Experience/Competencies Required:
|
Five (5) or more years of experience in programming or data analysis
Experience building client server applications (mostly MS Access) that interface with SQL server or other database systems
Good research, data analysis, reporting and problem solving skills.
Ability to communicate amongst technical and non-technical project staff and customers.
Ability to work both independently and part of a team
Ability to function in a fast paced environment.
