Job Description: 

Proactively learn the business, understand business strategies and translate these needs into finding effective HR solutions for the company. Perform generalist related activities in support of the WW Business Human Resources team responsible for enabling global HR strategies and initiatives. This is a mid-level HR position that will act as a feeder to other Business Partner and Specialist positions within the department. As a key member of the HR Business team, the generalist will assist in the development and execution of HR strategies, initiatives and programs in support of worldwide business plans and overall corporate objectives such as Talent Management; Performance Management; Workforce Planning; Succession Planning, New Employee Integration and the annual Compensation Review Process. Essential job functions: The Generalist responsibilities will include: •Develop and execute annual processes such as Talent Management, Succession Development, Compensation Review Process, 360 Feedback process, integration of new hires. •Actively partner with managers to ensure alignment of people strategies and business initiatives. •Facilitate the effective resolution of day to day HR matters. Coach business leaders on managing their business organizations effectively. Proactively initiate dialog with management, providing advice on issues affecting morale, performance, development, and organization effectiveness, helping to determine root causes and recommending appropriate next steps. •Assist Business HR managers in creating and launching new programs aligned with HR strategy. •Ability to learn and run data reports utilizing systems such as HR Oracle and Compensation Workbench and analyze data as required •Conduct research, manage projects and create internal communications as needed

Key Competencies Required for the Role: Relationship Building, Business Acumen, Ability to Multi-task, Attention to Detail, Teamwork, Customer Service, Organization skills, Drive for Results Position Requirements/ Skills •Ability to identify, support, and drive change throughout Sensata by working closely with the leadership to build an organization through best practices. •Strong sense of business ethics including the ability to appropriately handle confidential information •Knowledge and understanding of a variety of areas within Human Resources including recruitment, performance management, compensation and benefits •Support the talent management process, including performance management and compensation, both on-going as well as the annual processes •Highly motivated, customer focused, and well organized •Project management, problem solving skills and attention to detail. •Excellent computer skills in an MS office environment. Must include the ability to create and maintain spreadsheets utilizing Excel; ability to develop presentations in PowerPoint •Expertise with human resources principles and practices. •Strong verbal and written communication skills •Self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks •Effectively interact with all levels in the organization and across cultures •Think strategically •Desire to learn and advance in a fast-paced organization •Problem solver with a positive attitude and ability to make appropriate decisions. Maintain focus and follow through on issues until resolved •During peak times can require extensive hours •Some U.S. and international travel may be required

Education Required: 

Education and Experience Required: •BA/BS in Human Resources, Organization Development or Business required •Master’s degree or MBA is desirable. •SPHR preferred, but not required •8-10 years of experience in HR required
