Job Description: 

Join the corporate HR team in the role of Global Director: Benefits, HRIS, Payroll. In this challenging role you will be responsible for the following: Researches options and develops strategy of all benefits programs for the organization-- in support of business objectives. Plays a leadership role in developing new or enhanced HR initiatives/policies, Identifying new ways in which HR can support the achievement of organizational objectives. Anticipates and plans for future human resource requirements based on the long-term vision and strategic direction. Creates competitive and attractive benefits offerings which also maximize tax advantages to company. Ensures compliance with all relevant IRS, DOL and other legal/regulatory requirements and oversees annual audit of deferred comp and benefits programs. Analyzes usage/perceived value of offerings and develops robust and effective communications. Serves as senior member of HR leadership team and collaborates aggressively with OD director and with Plant/General management worldwide to ensure pay, recognition and reward policies and practices are driving and reinforcing the right behaviors for the business and for the company culture. Presents business case for change to company’s executive leadership. Also participates in detailed due diligence activity during acquisitions or divestitures. Manages direct reports in Benefits and Payroll and serves as mentor to others in dept. Develops and manages special projects as needed, including re streamlining and automating processes and for enhanced accuracy and efficiency. Provides Ad Hoc interpretation of company philosophy, policy and principles related to the areas of compensation and benefits. Troubleshoots issues/problems for employees at all levels and locations, as needed. Manages contracts and vendor and broker relationships. Builds strong relationships with HR, Managers and employees at all levels in the organization including at remote and international locations.

Experience/Competencies Required: 

  • Candidate will possess strong leadership, organizing and analytical skills; strong customer-service orientation; excellent communication (written, verbal and presentation) skills, and advanced problem-solving orientation and decision-making skills.
  • Position requires the ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities to produce a large volume of high-quality material with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work productively in an environment with high levels of interruption.

Education Required: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business, Finance or related field required. Master’s Degree: a plus.
  • CEBS or WAW certifications preferred. International experience—particularly in Asia also preferred.
