Foundation Promotes Use of "Research-Based Knowledge"
The SHRM Foundation promotes the use of "research-based knowledge."

Foundation Regional Scholarship Program
The Regional
Scholarship Program supports working SHRM members seeking
professional certification or pursuing a college degree. In 2007, funding
for this program will doubled to $100,000. The Foundation will award
60 certification scholarships of $750 each and 40 academic scholarships
of $1375 each. Application deadline: July 16, 2007.
New DVD: Fueling the Talent Engine
The SHRM Foundation has introduced a new DVD entitled Fueling the
Talent Engine: Finding and Keeping Higher Performers. This
case study of Yahoo Inc. demonstrates strategic HR in action. Through
a series of interviews with senior Yahoo executives, the video explains
how Yahoo's talent management strategy builds competitive advantage
for the organization. This is an ideal resource for professional

The SHRM Information Center
The SHRM Foundation supports the SHRM Information Center through a
quarter million dollar grant. The Information Center, a free service
to SHRM members, publishes the online White Papers series, maintains
the Competitive Practices Database, and answers more than 70,000
inquiries annually.
The Foundation grant ensures that the Information
Center has the latest technology and the most current resources
to help HR practitioners get the answers they need quickly and easily.

The SHRM Foundation has recently created a new DVD video entitled HR

Narrated by author and consultant Dr. Wayne Cascio, this highly acclaimed
