Program Committee
Purpose:
To provide Chapter membership with a forum to learn,
network, and share information through Chapter meetings
and special programs. To provide Chapter members with opportunities to enhance
and develop their professional skills and knowledge through
conferences, workshops, and seminars sponsored wholly or
in part by the Chapter.
Objectives:
- Plan, schedule, and administer monthly programs to meet professional
interests and needs of members and to provide a networking forum for collaboration
and sharing of information.
- Establish and provide promotional materials and other communications
regarding programs and special events to members, potential members, and
others, through presentations, written communications/media releases,
and personal contacts.
- Coordinate arrangements for monthly meeting speakers, hotel and meal
accommodations, travel needs and audio- visual requirements and provide
necessary communications to Chapter Secretary for coordination with meeting
site.
- Coordinate with Public Relations Committee to ensure appropriate media
coverage is provided for all Chapter meetings and special events.
- Collaborate with Chapter Secretary to develop and distribute timely
meeting announcements and member notification/registration flyers that
include speaker biographical data and program highlights.
- Utilize the partnership between the Chapter and SHRM for development
of a professional resource list of program speakers and other program
resource materials.
- Establish and maintain a registration table and other member service
support tables at Chapter meetings, coordinating registration with the
Chapter Secretary.
- Coordinate development and administration of meeting/program agendas,
hosting of meetings and speaker introductions and gift or honorarium presentations
at monthly Chapter meetings and for special programs.
- Establish and administer a meeting evaluation process for all Chapter
meetings and special programs.
- Coordinate with Legislative Affairs to provide members with at least
one legislative program during the year.
