Cherie Hersperger has accepted the position of Director of Human Resources for Blackstone Valley Community Health Care, a medical center serving the Blackstone Valley and surrounding com-
munities.

Fornal Appointed as Inspector of Voting for SHRM's 2009 Election

At a meeting of the 2008 Board of Directors of the Society for Human Resource Management held on Friday, June 20, 2008, in Chicago, Illinois, in conjunction with the Society’s 60th Annual Conference and Exposition, the Board voted to appoint Virginia C. Hall, SPHR, Linda F. Magyar, SPHR, and HRM-RI member Pete P. Fornal (Alternate), as Inspectors of Voting for the election of the Society’s 2009 Directors to the SHRM Board. HRM-RI wishes to congratulate Pete on being selected for this important responsibility.

2008 HRM-RI Sons & Daughters Scholarship Recipients Announced

College scholarships for 2008-09 have been awarded to Corrina Stoddart, daughter of HRM-RI member Kathleen Stoddart, PHR, and Kathryn Doda, daughter of HRM-RI member Jan Doda.

Corrina will be attending Skidmore College and Kathryn will be attending the University of Rhode Island. We wish them the best of luck in their undergraduate pursuits.
